چکیده

For this project, teams of two students each will work together to research a topic in environmental fluid mechanics, write a report in a format consistent with this project description, and prepare a short in-class presentation. Students are free to choose their own topics, or they may choose from a list of suggestions. The report may be in the style of a case study or more fundamental in nature, but reports must be based on a concept from the course CVEN 489-501: Mixing and Transport in the Environment. Weekly progress reports and milestones will be assigned. The projects will be graded on neatness, conformation to the style standards, making a “best effort” to obtain quality literature, content, and on the final oral presentation. Teams will turn in an electronic copy of their report and presentation. Also, each team member will turn in a confidential, signed paper copy of the Individual Evaluation Form. All of the project reports and presentations will be made available for download from the course website.

Research on Properties of Fluid Pressure Drop for Electric Vehicle IGBT Pin Fin Heat Sink

The Performance of electric vehicle IGPT Pin fin heat sink can be measured by the temperature field and the fluid pressure and other parameters. In order to improve the cooling effect of Pin fin heat sink, diameter, length and distance of the fin was optimized combination. The relationship between pressure drop of the water inlet, outlet and pin fin parameters was analyzed and calculated. It wa...

An Integrated Baseline Geodatabase for Facilitating the Environmental Impact Assessment Process: Case Study of Sabalan Geothermal Project, Iran

Baseline data represent one of the important stages of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure that describes the existing environment of the study area and surrounding areas in enough detail to allow the environmental impacts of the proposed area to be accurately and adequately assessed, and future changes and effects can be measured. Baseline data may be inaccurate, difficult to obtai...

Dynamical stability of cantilevered pipe conveying fluid in the presence of linear dynamic vibration absorber

When the velocity of fluid flow in a cantilevered pipe is successively increased, the system may become unstable and flutter instability would occur at a critical flow velocity. This paper is concerned with exploring the dynamical stability of a cantilevered fluid-conveying pipe with an additional linear dynamic vibration absorber (DVA) attachment. It is endeavoured to show that the stability o...

Developing a fuzzy group decision making approach for project manager selection considering the static complexity of construction projects

Due to the particular importance of projects in human life and in organizations, proper project management has been always regarded highly by researchers and practitioners. Recent advances in technology and fundamental changes in most scientific areas have affected projects and made their nature and environmental circumstances much more complex than in the past. Fortunately, in recent years, ma...
